Mount Beauty is the closest town to Falls Creek and the best place to hire chains. Falls Creek Coach Service has chains for hire and gives a lesson for fitting them. For current pricing; Chain Hire
Note: All vehicles MUST carry chains. It is a requirement by law. Failing to do so may incur a fine.
Falls Creek does not have a fuel station. Mt Beauty, located approximately 33kms from Falls Creek is at the bottom of the mountain. It is the closest fuel stop and all drivers should fill-up their vehicle before making their way up the mountain. Mt Beauty fuel stations are open from 7am–7pm, 7 days a week, during the snow season.
In winter, diesel vehicles should fill up with Alpine Diesel from Mt Beauty (or other local suppliers) to ensure their vehicle performs safely in the cold conditions.
Falls Creek has 2 Ocular IQ EV Charging Stations, housing 4 charging outlets. More information regarding these charging stations can be found here.
All vehicles entering Falls Creek Resort during the winter season are required to have a Resort Entry pass for the duration of your stay.
These can be booked online in advance at www.fallscreek.com.au/resortentry/
