Chain Hire

Mount Beauty is the closest town to Falls Creek and the best place to hire chains. Falls Creek Coach Service has chains for hire and gives lesson fitting them. For current pricing; Chain Hire

Note: All vehicles MUST carry chains. It is a requirement by law. Failing to do so may incur a fine.

Fuel & Electric Vehicle Charging

Falls Creek does not have a fuel station. Mt Beauty, located approximately 33kms at the bottom of the mountain, is the closest fuel stop and all drivers should fill their vehicle up before making their way up the mountain. Mt Beauty fuel stations are open from 7am–7pm during the snow season 7 days a week.

In winter, diesel vehicles should fill up with Alpine Diesel from Mt Beauty (or other local suppliers) to ensure their vehicle performs safely in the cold conditions.

Falls Creek has 2 Tesla Electronic Charging Stations.  More information regarding these charging stations can be found here.

Falls Bus operates a coach service to Falls Creek from Melbourne & Tullamarine Airport up to 11 times in each direction per week. Helicopter Service

Avoid the long drive and hassle of snow chains this winter by arriving at Falls Creek Resort with Forest Air Helicopters. Helicopter flights operate daily up the mountain in only 6 minutes from Mt Beauty and 35 minutes from Albury. For more information; Helicopter Service

 

Resort Entry

All visitors accessing the resort must have purchased a resort entry permit online, prior to arriving at the resort.

This permit will need to be presented at the resort entrance at Howman’s Gap (ticket box) or the Accommodation Transfer Service (ATS) building (after 5pm) and placed on the dashboard when parked within the resort.

Steps:

  • Buy online at www.fallscreek.com.au/resortentry
  • Print out the attachment in your confirmation email
  • Show the attachment at the Resort Entrance (Howman’s Gap), or at the stop point on Bogong High Plains Road (opposite ATS)
  • Display in your windscreen when you park at Falls Creek

Accommodation Transfer Service (ATS)

Huski Apartments operates a complimentary private oversnow transfer services between the hours of 8am – 10am and 3:30pm -7pm.  When you arrive at Falls Creek you can unload your luggage and passengers at the Accommodation Transfer Station which is located on the right hand side as you enter the Village. An attendant will then direct you to park your car and a free shuttle service will bring you back to the ATS. Once you are back at ATS, our complimentary private oversnow vehicle will come and collect you and your family.

If you are arriving after 8pm you will need to purchase a transfer ticket ticket with ATS.  Your door codes and arrival information can be sent to you via email or SMS for after hours access.

SKI LIFT LESSON RENTAL RATES

To skip the queues and receive advance purchase prices, you can book lift passes and lessons online through Falls Creek Ski Lifts.
